Yes skipping a rest day is a really bad idea, but you know that now. Rest days are there for a reason , just do some walking or swimming or cycling when you're not running . Your body really needs that day to recover. Good luck π

π Lesson learnt! It's great that you are keen but you need to let your muscles repair themselves and grow stronger. Don't injure yourself just as you're getting started.

The number one rule is not to run on consecutive days, have a extra rest day then do run 3 of week 1.
