New this week

Hi everyone, I am new this week to C25K. I was absolutely buzzing when I finished day one, even though I could not run for 60 seconds. Apart from walking I haven’t exercised in years. A friend suggested I give this ago and I am hooked. However, day three today and as I set off on my first 60 second run I had a terrible pain in my groin. I was forced to just walk for the whole workout. I am still in pain and hope this is not going to stop me from continuing. My plan is to repeat week one until I can actually run for 60 seconds. I hope by Monday I will be fit to go again.

Great for getting started, take a few days rest to see if the pain goes away and then try again. Good luck 😊😊

What a shame that you had to stop. If the pain hasn’t gone by Monday, I strongly advise you to seek medical help. If you have injured yourself, you need to know what to do to help it heal, before it becomes a big problem. Good luck!

Take care of the pain, have a rest day or two, and in that time you can do plenty of reading on the faq blogs to help you prepare!
