Reached a real low point today, set off in the pouring rain for the first 10minute run, felt awful as it seemed never ending. Eventually I realised my app was on pause, heaven knows how long I had run, but much longer than 10minutes! Used my watch to time the remainder but arrived home in tears as I was annoyed I had paused the app, my legs were jelly and I was soaked to my underwear. Still I consider that run under my belt, please stop raining ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ

You probably ran for 30 minutes or more and covered the 5K distance, sorry about that, best thing to do now is take at least 3 days off running to recover.

Braver than me! I chickened out of my clubโs weekly XC this evening. Itโs ok if it rains when Iโm out, but actually setting off in it is a step too far for me. Well done, donโt stress. We all have things go wrong, but you got through and lived to tell the tale. Have a good 2-3 days rest. By then the weather will be lovely and youโll feel better about it all.

Brilliant! My mr announcer went quiet on Monday, out of nowhere, no idea why, but the timer still worked. Keep going, just keep going, itโs SO worth it!

Ask yourself if you would have done that run five weeks ago? I bet the answer is no. You fit it and conquered! Sucks that the app didnโt record but you still did it and in awful conditions. You could continue onto next run and just keep rerunning until week 9 and use as a โnice easyโ jog to break up that series.
I've had the app pause before and you can fast forward to where you should be then carry on to the end.
I don't like leaving the house in the rain, but, as many have said in the comments, skin is waterproof. Once you actually get out and running it won't matter if you get soaked because you'll be looking forward to a lovely hot shower at the end ๐ฟ
We've all had them...bloody dreadful run but you carried on regardless and did extra! Well done you...the next one will be better, I promise ๐
