So, did Week 8, run 3 in the rain (which is wonderful) but really struggled. Just not my day I don’t think, but did it. Not feeling good about it but just think some days are not good running days. Also, think I may be happier running alone with my earphones as mentally I can drift rather than running with others and trying to keep up with them, talk etc etc.
Thanks for all the lovely comments, keep going people - we CAN do his, Laura said so!

Some runs are tough... while we enjoy the easier comfortable ones, it’s the tough one you should be proud of finishing. If you find yourself in an event you’ve looked forwards to for months and it’s tough out there, runs like today where you dig deep and used mental strength to get through will be the ones that set you up to complete that event. I feel good when I finish any run, but I feel great when it was a run that sucked. You’re amazing and after that run you should allow yourself to feel that! Next run will be smoother for sure... enjoy that one, it’s the start of your victory lap.
Yes - I hadn’t thought of that, I guess it is mental strength when you have a bad day. Have not struggled until now - ran with 2 friends who are quicker than I am so I started too quickly feeling under pressure (my own, because they are lovely) and I don’t enjoy pressure - I am a happy trotter, so will stick to that! 3 more to my trophy!!!
