I am in week 8, got run 3 to do. My sister and brother in law are keen runners but I had NEVER run - even at school I couldn’t do it. I have struggled a few times but somehow know that after running I feel great so I have persevered. I am super slow, but am 13 stone and approaching 48 - so am concentrating on the bigger picture.
My sister told me that it is ALL psychological and I have realised she is right! Laura (trainer) said if I had done everything as instructed, I CAN do it. I feel nervous sometimes, have to have the right pants on, hair in a comfy bun, earphones sorted blah blah but I can feel myself being slightly mad and now it makes me smile.
I have read posts for all these weeks and it has really encouraged me, so thanks everyone! Happy running 🙂

Super slow and the right socks - that’s what it is about for me! Looking forward to to week six run three tomorrow. Happy running- you’re nearly there!
Yay, you're doing great. I'm a similar age and weight to you (though feeling younger and slimmer as I keep running!) and I was convinced that the programme would be too much for me when I started. I just thought I would give it a go and see how far I got. Somewhere along the way, I realised I could do it and in fact I WAS doing it. By the time I got to Week 9, I was thinking, meh it's ONLY an extra two minutes. What a difference from Week 1! Enjoy the rest of Week 8 and Week 9, you're nearly there!
Good for you Hazel, we are nearly there, I'm one run behind you. My partner is still in shock only just having found out!! Looking forward to seeing you graduate 🎉 go slow sister! 🐌😉
