So 2 friends started their C25K journey this morning and it was so much fun watching their excitement and reliving when I started. It was funny trying to rein them back a bit and not run too fast but they understood why I was saying slow down when we got to interval run 4. They didnt give up despite their legs hurting, feet feeling numb, their noses were running, every possible excuse. But they persevered to the end and yes the other people in the park must had thought we were crazy as we cheered and high fived when the last run was completed. A fantastic accomplishment as they have never run in their life. So a training schedule has been set, hopefully I can get to run with them at least once a week for motivation!
Its amazing that I can give them the little bit of wisdom I have and realising how far I have come as a runner. I'm still running 3xweek but it's much more relaxed and enjoyable since I took the apps away.
Anyway, I'm off to see Chaka Khan at a festival, what a great way to finish my weekend!
