Just completed week 5 run 3. Just wondered what pace I should be aiming for as currently is 17.11 per mile. It’s very slow is that Ok?

Congratulations to you Erin11 on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K. Onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran, your pace is around 52 minutes for a 5k, exactly the pace I ran this morning for my first full 5k of this year, so don't worry about that. 😊 🏃

We both will improve our times quickly, it was my first full 5k this year, my PB last year was 32.25.

Pace does not matter... what matters is you running comfortably... :) Take it at your own pace and enjoy, as you move into the lovely longer runs:)

Hi Erin11

I'd suggest that you don't worry about pace. After a month or so of consolation runs and trying the 3 training guides after I still don't concentrate on completing 5k in 30mins. Although I'd love to archive it, the biggest step is keep motivated regardless of distance in set times, and if I / we keep going we'll do it. You've done amazingly so far. For sure be mindful as you now progress to no intervals as Al has said, but it's fantastic as you feel yourself grow. My happiest moment so far is when you hear you're a runner, followed by repeating week 1 and running through the whole 30mins after graduation. It's quite an amazing moment when you do that in a nice a leisurely pace while recollecting the first steps you made. Best wishes for the next few weeks as you progress!

Although I'd love to *achieve* it...(I'll archive it too ☺️)

Great job. 17.11 per mile is your pace... so it’s not slow, and it’s not OK, it’s perfect right now... don’t worry about it.
