Can we talk shampoo?

With running 3 times a week and the distance getting longer and the heat increasing, the sweat is increasing too :)

I am currently washing my hair 3 times a week (up from twice a week).

If I add in swimming, Strength and Flex etc. that may increase.

I have long hair unruly hair, has anyone found a decent shampoo that works but doesn't dry your hair too much? I have tried 2 different "frequent use" ones but I still feel my hair is getting dryer.

I find the Dove combined shampoo and conditioner ideal for a quick wash after a run before I go to work, (so it does need to be quick!).

I know combineds have fallen out of favour now, but I found this one (you do sometimes need to search for it on the bottom shelf), and it does me fine.

I use the L’oréal Low Shampoo - it’s a cleansing conditioner so no detergents to dry it out.

For swimming i use the boots sun sea and whatever, they have something you put on before to protect your hair and then the shampoo which clears all the chlorine (i use on whole body).

Lush solid bars! Completely changed my hair. Cruelty free and eco friendly too!

I like the idea of Lush and tried them some time ago but they all smell too strong for me!

Recently tried and like friendlysoap.co.uk/

Maybe it is our water but I find they do not go as soft as the Lush ones I tried.

I have just started using this

friendlysoap.co.uk/

At first I thought it was drying my hair a little bit but it is fine now.

It comes with a suggestion of rinsing with cider vinegar (I think) but I haven't needed to.

I use a leave in frizeze conditioner, that keeps my hair nice and soft.

Alternatively you could give up using shampoo altogether....Apparently your hair starts to self clean after a while
