Hello, hope everyone is good!
My Fitbit has died and I'm now looking to replace it. What would people recommend? I'm reading reviews between Fitbit and Garmin and can't decide which seems to be the better of the two? TIA for any advice given xxx

I’d go Garmin... in fact I have... as the forerunner range is specifically tailored towards runners and they make the best GPSr’s. I bought a forerunner 35 last week and it does everything I need at the moment, and more. I’m starting a half marathon plan this month, and may add another higher in the range for marathon next year... can’t have too many gadgets 🤣
I would go for Garmin forerunner 35. Its so easy to use and does everything you want. You can set it for intervals etc. So easy to set up.
I have Garmin vivoactive3 and love it.
I love my Garmin Vivoactive and enjoy the challenges and badges in the connect app
I had a Fitbit Charge and loved it. It's aimed more at monitoring general activity, whereas the Garmins are more specifically aimed at runners (although bizarrely, my Vivoactive can also monitor my golfing activity ...as if!!)
It gives stats on pace and cadence- great if you're working on speed, and has built-in GPS, which seems to be more accurate than accessing your phone's GPS. There are training plans on it too.
But the app isn't as good as the Fitbit app, and the sleep monitoring is rubbish!
But I love my Garmin 😊
Thanks for the advice everyone!!
There’s a new Garmin out, Forerunner 245. There will be a lot of people upgrading their Forerunner 235s so you should be able to pick up a 235 second hand for around £80. I’ve bought two of them recently and it’s definitely my go to running watch. I love it even more than my Apple Watch.
Another Garmin fan for 2 reasons.
1. It has built in GPS Fitbit has to tether to your phone.
2. The app is brilliant and it's free the information on your running is great but addictive.
As another add on, my Garmin vivoactive HR which is about 3 or 4 years old has just died. I followed the help guide on the Garmin website on Sunday and nothing worked. The website then popped up a message to say I was entitled to a free repair or refurbished replacement if I posted it back to them. I posted it on Wednesday and I’ve already had an email to say that my replacement Vivoactive HR has already been posted out to me. So I can’t fault their customer service.
