Does anyone use a fit bit? I was a bit put out after first run of week 1 when my Fitbit thought I’d been for a stroll! I only clocked up the same calories as I do in yoga where i don’t sweat and heavy breath ☺️ However I now realise that it was only 30 minutes and running for a mere fraction. I wonder if Fitbit can be linked to the programe somehow . Any info gratefully accepted

Hi Laurel, I think it depends on which Fitbit you have, I use a charge 2 and you can chose to record a run from the watch, rather than relying on the watch to auto recognise an activity. I sync it with my phones GPS and get a map of the run as well.
There are shortcuts that you can set up via the app, when you want to record a run, just keep pushing the button on the watch until you get to the shortcuts and then tap screen until you get run, push and hold the button for 3 seconds and it starts to record.. shows a timer on screen.... then just hold for 3 seconds to when you complete the run and it records and downloads to your exercise tile on the app... if you link it into your phones gps it will give you a map of the run as well
Oh my goodness- I have just read your post.... I DID NOT KNOW THAT!! How cool is that???!! I’m over the 🌑 moon. Thank you so much for that fab information on fitbit ☺️☺️☺️☺️
I have the Blaze which also gives the option to switch on an exercise. I used to have the Alta and I’m sure you could do something similar through the app rather than on the device itself
I decided not to worry too much about my Fitbit until week 5 when it tracked the 20 minute run and again today on the 25 minute run. I have no idea if the distances were any good but it was nice to see my map! Good luck with the programme and enjoy 👍🏃♀️
