Consolidation Run #12

OK, so it wasn't fast (actually, however you look at it and however you divide it up, it was my slowest run since about W7), it wasn't pretty (it was me after all) and, by the end, I'd had to contend with all 4 seasons; but 50 minutes of non-stop running, covering 6+km later, I was feeling pretty chuffed with myself yesterday evening.

Hopefully I get slightly more clement conditions for Global Running day tomorrow.

Great job. Some of my long runs and recovery runs I go even slower than my target pace and just relax and enjoy.

It just struck me how strange that Garmin give the same information twice on the splits screen... I guess if I ever use manual laps then it won’t... but I can’t see myself ever doing that.

I’m hoping for 56F cloudy and light drizzle for global running day as it’s a 10k on my plan... if it’s warmer or sunny I’ll be rescheduling my week.

Happy running.

I think it's only the last lap (if I'm running for a set time as opposed to a set distance) where (unless the stars align) it is different, because it's showing the time and the time/km. Usually these will be one and the same, but I can see, with the finish line in sight, I was still able to up my pace a little in the final minute of last night's run; which is always a good feeling.

Anyway, good luck for tomorrow.

It’s been less obvious on my screen as I track in miles so there’s less of them. My 3rd 10k this week, another next week and then it’s time to move on up again... HM training starts in less than two weeks now.

you should be chuffed, that's brilliant.

I have yet to make 5 running but I have done W9 plus a bit of walking at the end and gotten there

Tomorrow I have pledged 5K so I am hoping to extend my run a bit (just a few minutes) and complete with a couple of minutes extra walking

Just take it slow, and easy, and I'm sure you will be fine. For the record, I'm still a few minutes north of 30 for 5k, but who's counting? 😉
