Is there anyone from Edinburgh New Town or surrounding areas, preferably in their 50s who is starting out running and would like a running buddy. I’m on and off this Couch to 5k like you wouldn’t believe. I did have a buddy but her knee went. I’m hoping she can start up soon but not feeling hopeful. Message me please if you want a buddy.

I would think about your personal safety before making any such arrangements Rosemel64. Although we’d like to think everyone on this website is a decent person who is just interested in running, it has been proven that there are some people lurking who may not have the same aims. Take care.

Hi Rosemel64. I would like a running buddy and I’m in Edinburgh near Inverleith Park and in my 50’s.
I couldn’t make a commitment though - I mainly run in the mornings (6:30) but have a hectic work schedule so fit in runs as and when - sometimes with a two day rest day. But what I wanted to say is I’ve got to love running (light jog 😎) on my own. Me time. Importantly the programme really works on your own or not. Give it a bash on your own - the forum is amazing for encouragement so you won’t feel alone. Perhaps we could catch up for a run one weekend.
Happy running and keep us posted where you are with the programme. 🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️
