Just back from a 5K trail charity-run in Sussex. Mostly off tarmac, and off path. A few smallish-hills. My partner ran with me (and was helpful giving me water and moral support), and I was surprised to find a lot of people walking on the hills. I used the advice I got from this forum about hills, leaned in, slowed down, and went on my toes, and ran all the way round! Luckily there was a lot of shade. Did it in 38m47s, which was faster than my last 5K in the park.
The C25K programme prepared me well though, and I even managed a sprint finish.
10K next.
Thanks all for your support.
