Well done.

I always think that it is a very generous thing to do, to come last. It saves somebody else from being last.

Last but not least, congratulations, fellow runner.

Well done. No matter the time its still a 5k! Us slower runners are so polite, taking last place so others dont need to🀣

Congratulations !! Well done !! And thanks for that great photo. You look like an athlete...a seasoned runner. You should be so proud of yourself.

Congratulations. A great achievement! Can I ask how you did it? Was it 45 minutes of running, or 5 minutes warm up walk then 40 minutes running. I'm planning my own Newbie entry and not sure how to approach it. Thanks and well done again! :)

I always start slower ... I don’t mind everybody whizzing past me. Start off too fast and I run out of puff very soon. Our park run starts with a hill .. some call it a slight incline!! Always walk that bit and that’s my warm up!

Anyways .. never last .. that’s the tail runner position πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜ƒ

Hi! I did the warm up walk before the race, and I ran at a slow but steady pace for the first 4km. Slowed down in the last km - was exhausted. You really need to ignore the other runners because if you try to keep up you will run out of steam before the finish line, good luck!!!!

I think 5K in 44 minutes is a great achievement & you have very right to be super proud! Well done you πŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ’ͺ☺

Wow! I'm really impressed, you've only just graduated and now run a whole 5k............ in a race!

I think that's really courageous. Last or first you did it, and it's a superb achievement. I was thinking of reasons not to go out running today, but I'm definitely going now, you've inspired me. Thanks!

That’s inspiring stuff! I’m running my first 5K race in a few weeks. Did you run the whole way? I tried 4K outside yesterday for the first time and nearly died. I had to stop 2 times to catch my breath. Just couldn’t pace myself. Well done. And kudos to you!

TheClaw profile image
TheClawGraduateβ€’ in reply toRunBrianRun

I ran the whole way. I had never run the full 5k before but the race environment pushes you. You somehow find a new reserve of energy you never knew about! Good luck for your race!! :)
