W5r3 Best run yet!!! πŸ˜ƒ

All week, I have been focusing on remembering that this run is just another run; nothing to worry about. I was excited to start it.

I set my choons up (Earth, Wind and Fire), and off I went. The first five minutes flew by, and I thought Jo must have miscounted. Then it was ten minutes! What was going on? Before I knew it, it was fifteen minutes! Something is going to go wrong, I just knew it. My knee, or ankle, or something, but then she said that I just had a couple of minutes left!!!

Thirty seconds from the end, I lengthened my stride, and went up a gear. I flew, and was most put out when Jo said I had finished! I couldn’t believe it! I had run for twenty minutes non-stop!

Five weeks ago, I thought I was dying after running for just sixty seconds!!! This programme is witchcraft! It’s not natural! πŸ˜‚ I am a RUNNER πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ!!! Onwards and upwards! Bring it on!

Congratulations on that milestone run.

Stay slow for W6R1.....it catches many out.

Great great run. Those gremlins always like to peck at our head saying we can’t do it right to the point of having us convinced something will go wrong at the point that we know we’ve got it. Nice finish too... some left in that tank for a fast finish is a very good sign. Enjoy week 6... slow and steady into those intervals.

Hope the cider and peanuts tasted more amazing than usual!

Just read your post, and you are right to blame your hubby, the dog, the weather, etc.! πŸ˜‚ Have a good rest today, and try again tomorrow. Tell hubby to naff off if he interferes again! 🀣

Cheering you on JamesPoppy3.....πŸ‘ trust the programme, it works. 13 weeks ago I couldn’t run for toffee and now I love it and can run for 30 minutes. It’s like magic, you’ll see 😁. I know you can do it. Take your time.

Massive Congrats!!...Eart Wind and Fire....I salute you.

:)

I remember that euphoria when i completed my first 20min run. I am still at it now with Parkrun and also my new found friends at my brand new running club. You are a runner...i told myself the exact same. Some days just work like witchcraftery. It's magic spell lives on.

MuddledGardener profile image
MuddledGardenerGraduate in reply to Richyrunslow

Thank you! One day I’ll join my local park run, but probably when I’ve finished C25K.

Richyrunslow profile image
RichyrunslowGraduate in reply to MuddledGardener

I did just that. Two weeks after i graduated I picked up the courage to attempt Parkrun as I was still not completing a full 5k in 30 mins. I thoroughly recommend it for your next step after C25K. 17 Parkruns later and I am still plodding along but thankful for being more active and faster than i was a year ago.

Good luck!
