Week 5 day 1 was awful. For the first half I was against the wind and struggled to get my legs motivated to walk at my usual pace never mind run. Stopped in the middle of second 5 min run for about 30s to get my breath when notification told me I’d hit the half way mark so turned round and got going again. Speed slower and distance less. Think I might repeat it tomorrow, only thing is I’m working 4 12hr night shifts from toy so won’t get back running again until Friday. Do I just wait until Friday or have another go tomorrow?

Doesn’t matter if you had a brief stop, you carried on. See how you feel after those awfully long shifts and maybe give it another go to boost your confidence.

I don't think there is a hard and fast rule, but as you completed it (except for 30s) then my guess is that you should have a rest day. If you'd abandoned after 2 mins then I would have said try again tomorrow. But I'm sure more experienced people will give better advice.

Hang in there the next one will be better

Well done for keeping going I think a short break for 30 secs is allowed if it’s a really tough run through weather conditions. I personally would probably repeat the run when you had a rest day. Just to boost your confidence again. You can do it. Then you’ll be teady for W 5. Onwards and upwards.

I've stopped for longer to tie my lace so I'd say it definitely counts. I had a similar thing at parkrun yesterday, found myself walking for about 30sec but still went on to do a PB.

I would say just wait until Friday. Assuming you do it, call it R2 and move on. Your body won't mind a couple of extra "days off" at this point.
