Thwarted by Beautiful Shoes

I took the beautiful shoes I bought in a Marrakech souk out for their maiden voyage on Tuesday and they absolutely tore my heels to shreds.

Unfortunately, my trainers hit my heels at exactly the same spot so no running for me this week... woe!

They ARE beautiful shoes though...

Gosh... contradicting William Morris...beautiful but not useful....? Heal well and enjoy looking at those beautiful shoes... maybe use them as planters for a small flower:)

Ha, yes!! I believe them to be beautiful but know (now!) that they are not useful... Sunflowers might set off that lovely blue colour - what do you think?

I do...or small petunias maybe to bring out those colours:)

PS

I used to have a rung just like yours:)

Lovely. No more lonely little petunias in the onion patch 🙂

I love the picture - the shoes flung onto the carpet in disgust! (yes they are beautiful). I had a pair of Merryl trainers from which I expected great things.... but they gave me blister and were just damn uncomfortable (and expensive to boot). grrrr.

So, I hope your blisters heal up soon - it is frustrating for you. : (

The shoes are having a word with themselves (and each other!)

Blister plasters are magic, on the odd occasions I've had to use them I've still been able to run :)

Ahh thanks, good to know. My heels are rubbed completely red-raw and just beginning to start healing. When I put my trainers on I could feel them rubbing and getting sore so just thought I’d leave it for this week and let them heal a bit. Fingers crossed for next week and I’ll get some blister plasters too.

Agree with Julia187, compeed blister plasters are excellent.

I have some converse sneakers which also tear my heels to shreds, for no obvious reason. They feel like a perfect fit for the first half hour!😶

i feel your pain, had to skip a round of golf for a similar reason as golf shoes put pressure on the sore bit! Give them a couple of days and you’ll be fine. Also, those shoes are beautiful- don’t give up on them just wear with caution!

They are gorgeous! Hopefully you’ll be able to break them in gradually once your heals are better. Would be a shame not to be able to wear them x

Thanks! Yes me too. They are so pretty and perfect for summer. Hopefully the leather will soften and mould to my feet in perfect harmony... rather than the discordance that has occurred this week!
