When I started this last Aug I would drive to areas I knew my friends didn't go to. My brother knew and he became a vrb for a while. I was nearly outed by my hair dresser but as she was heavily pregnant i told my friend the hairdresser had me confused with someone else, baby brain
I think I finally came out wk7 but then stopped soon after and never graduated. Injury niggles initially then SAD.
Awww I’m so pleased you gave it a go again x i know a few people who have mentioned they are running in secret from their friends and family, that’s so amusing xx
Great job. I managed to get out for my run under cloud cover, but a few minutes in and those clouds went and it got warmer and warmer... I’ve been in awe of everyone I saw running early this evening as it as a good 10F warmer than when I went out there. Enjoy run 3... you got this.
Go you... anticipation and not apprehension... you are doing brilliantly... relax into the lovely longer runs... let the new legs find their happy pace and enjoy yourself
Hey OldFloss, I might go shopping for a new pair of legs first 😜. Thank you, that’s exactly my strategy for the longer runs, to relax and enjoy them x I have not clock watched so far and don’t intend to!
Hey beautiful, oh my goodness yes you’re right, there are 4x 25min runs.
Exactly, in the early weeks when I sneaked a preview of what’s coming up in the later weeks I thought “Nah! Not happening!”, “Yeah Right!” Or “I wonder which week I’ll stop running” 😂 ... If anything members on this forum have made a massive difference the last few weeks especially those who have had the same runs as me around the same days. We should organise a graduation party 🥳
Tomorrow, either early morning or sometime in the afternoon. I agree, this forum has been SO motivating, especially finding our little group at the same stage. Week 6 was so miserable for me until R3 that I might have stopped then were it not for all these lovely people here.
I didn’t enjoy the first two runs of W6, they were tough, but the third run (25 mins) changed it all around. There’s definitely a psychological twist on the structure of this programme. I’m enjoying the longer runs only because I am covering a bit more distance and o hope to be somewhere between 4K and 5K when I finish xx I may do my run tomorrow too, I’ll keep you posted.
