Decided to change my route up today, left the comfort of the nature reserve I have been running around until now. Well it was hot and hilly, more uphill than I've covered previously so a slower pace and less distance than I've done before however I'm still very pleased I completed the run but I think I'll stick to the nature reserve for my final week!

W8R3 hot and hilly!
Well done for completing week 8 Spurrr7 ! ππ»π You're only 3 runs from graduating C25K! I wonder if 2 months ago you thought you'd be running for 25 - 30 minutes non-stop? I think not...
As you know the speed or distance you go in the programme isn't important, just keep going slow and steady. Being faster or going further is something you can focus on after graduation if you wanted to, and there is lots of support on how you can do that.
I agree, sticking to the nature reserve sounds like a good plan β ππ
I wish you all the best in your final runs of C25k, keep us posted on how you find them, and if I could be cheeky and ask you to show us a picture of the nature reserve you run in, or part of it? It's nice for us to see where all our runners are running π
In my last post about a run, I took a picture of the small bog I was running around, for example: healthunlocked.com/bridgeto...
Thank you for the lovely reply π I most definitely did not think that I would get this far but I'm lucky enough to have the support of my family, both my parents and siblings are runners so they've been out with me and won't let me give up π also the wonderful support here, reading through posts knowing I'm not alone is just amazing. If this link works it should show you a post where I did pop a photo up on a miserable morning but it's still beautiful. Will try and get some more photos on week 9!! healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Thanks for getting back to me Spurrr7 π
I'm really happy to hear that you've got family that run too! ππ€ You're lucky I think, although there's unlimited support on here, I know I would love it if my family was into running. I imagine there are a large amount of us runners that have to do it solo.
That is a very nice picture, I don't have anything like that much water near to where I live unless I broke into my local reservoir π€
I really am lucky in a variety of ways, the nature reserve is just across the road from my home - so no excuses not to get on down there. Extremely fortunate to have a family of runners, my sister has recently ran a HM, mum is due to do a 10k at the weekend, so if they see my strava hasn't updated in a few days they'll ask to find out why or appear at my house with their trainers on π
