Enjoyed? After not getting to 4K in 30 mins. It was a push. I was buoyed up by the enthusiasm of the volunteer Marshall’s. After it’s over. I enjoyed that feeling. A LOT!
Well done you. One lap though? I think I would like to do Bideford first. It’s 3&1/2 laps, so a newcomer is not too far from home. Don’t forget though that the object is really to run 30 minutes non stop here. Not 5 K.
I started Early March, finished today W9R3. The plan works. Although I did wk 1 twice. Read Iannoda Truffe FAQ articles. All you need is there. The word of the lord.
Watch YouTube Japanese Slow Running Man Prof. Tanaka. I copied him. Step, breath, arm action, hair colour. My thirty mins were taking me possibly 4 Km. I was a bit naughty pushing to 5K today, but I could drop out, close to the car, anytime. If you can’t run with it or leave it in the car, don’t take it. No bag storage. What there is is a briefing at ten to start time, and loads and loads of really great volunteer support. That gets you past the” Done my thirty mins stop now” moments. You will not be last. The last bit was a struggle. The elation when you beat that barrier is really worth it though.
Have fun. Catch up with you sometime perhaps?
That's fantastic! 😊
I love the sheer glee that has gone into the writing of your post!
The glee is the result of weeks of hard slog, as you know, you are only just behind. I will save a place on the big fluffy graduation cloud for you when you come and polish your badge. Enjoy the running.
