Feeling chuffed again that I was able to run for a 3 min stretch. Was supposed to run yesterday but had to postpone it as had a migraine.
I usually only get them every month or two but had two this week on consecutive days which has never happened before. Hoping this isn’t linked to doing more exercise than usual (I don’t usually do any to be honest). Was wondering if anyone else has had any experience of this? Hoping this is a just a coincidence and not linked as have just started to enjoy this exercise malarkey and feeling in a better place mentally.

I think Low electrolytes have led to me having migraines after two quite long runs recently. May be running in the heat is causing you to lose salt and sugar leading to a horrible attack. You can buy sachets at the chemist or I have been drinking diluted fruit juice with a pinch of salt
I used to get bad headaches (not necessarily running) but found just drinking more helped a lot. Get it checked out by your Dr, might be nothing but might be something. While you wait a few weeks for an appointment just drink more.
I’m a migraine sufferer too. I try and gulp down a pint of water before my runs (I also struggle to hydrate properly).
I’m so sorry you’ve had a migraine attack though. I haven’t noticed my migraines getting more frequent with my running BUT I have noticed I’ve been getting more ‘pre-migraine threatening symptoms’. So - I keep expecting a migraine but it doesn’t fully develop. I wondered (this week particularly) if it was weather related... 😅
Hi there. Also a horrible migraine sufferer. Full blown one a fortnight ago and a 3 day minor one last week...I put it down to weather and life! I haven’t found C25k adversely affecting them. Are you eating as well as drinking lots? Always worth mentioning to the doc. All the best.
I never have a problem eating! I’m making a concerted effort to drink more. Migraines are horrible. Thankfully I don’t usually get them too often and Sumatriptan really helps me when I do.
