To all the lovely people who have understood where I am coming from, and who have given me so much encouragement, I thank you. I hadn’t intended to “spill my guts” in the way that I did, but sometimes these things have a way of slipping out.

Anyway, I’m not about to give up yet! 😁

Just read your post, there's lots of emotion in running, I actually run to get all those emotions out. You really do come face to face with your doubts and anxiety. Running is more mental than physical, you train your mind to overcome adversity. It helps me in all aspects of life. Stick at it.

Isn't this forum great? That you can just vent your frustration and someone is always there to pick you up and chivvy you along. Sounds like your Mo-jo is back 😀. Happy running 🏃‍♀️☺️

You're in very good company here. Many of us have issues we are trying to work through by running (I started to try and combat obesity, pre-diabetes and depression). There are so many stories on here about how people's lives have been changed by this and I really don't think I'd have kept going without everyone here (oh, and parkrun... can't recommend that enough once you get a bit further along in the programme... though I did parkrun from week 1 but mostly walking).

Chin up... your efforts will most definitely be rewarded! :)

I think parkrun is genius. 🏃🌲

A book was recommended about fighting depression with cardiovascular exercises. The title is Spark, by John Ratey.

I hope you are doing great with combatting obesity, pre-diabetes and depr.

Very kind of you. 🌷

Why not to 'spill out your guts'? You actually just shared your troubles. Is that not a relief?

Take care!
