Rain check!

So I was supposed to be doing week 3 run 2 tonight but the weather is so awful here I’m going to have to postpone. But now I feel guilty for not going out. I will go tomorrow as weather looks to be ok but can’t help feeling I should be out even though it’s raining cats and dogs

Why postpone? You will run in rain at some point, so why not today? There is something lovely about running in bad weather; you will feel proud, strong and accomplished. Coming home and popping into a hot shower is awesome. Try it, you wont be disappointed!

Possibly, the decision has been made today. It’s torrential where I am, I’m not sure many people would run in this weather, I may be wrong. But thank you for your reply

I would :)

You obviously have the bug, I’m not there yet. Thanks for the tip

No need to feel 'guilty' - but maybe remember these frustrated 'missed opportunity' feelings for next time?

Not all runs in the rain are glorious but many are, and they get more appealing the longer the run segments of the session get.

Thanks, the thought of being soaked right through just doesn’t make me want to go tonight. Tomorrow is dry, I will be out then

The thought is much more of a problem than the reality - unless you would have to sit around in your wet clothes all day afterwards that is!

I feel like this too specifically because it would take an age for my trainers to dry out 😂.

I did go out in the rain once all prepared with a baseball cap on but it stopped and rainy days have happened to be on non run days. I have had a fair few runs in howling gales though. It’s like resistance running one way and the world’s easiest running the other 😁

Rain is definitely fun but my theory is it has to be dry at the start of the run, then it feels more welcome when it cools and refreshes you. So today I waited for a pause in the torrents then went out and got wet! 🌧
