Still can’t quite believe I’m doing this 😊 but I am..and doing it in real comfort now. No niggling pains in my right foot 👍🏻 Haven’t paid much attention to distance covered so going to download an app to calculate exactly how far I’m going. I’ve heard people mention ‘map my run’, is this the best one to get?

Great job. You’ve got this. There are many trackers that can do what you want... “best” is subjective and we are all fans of different ones for different reasons.

Enjoy run 2

Mapmyrun is part of the under armour family of apps and there’s some crossover, I use mapmywalk for walking and it has running plans! Nike+ Run Club, Strava and a few others are really popular... the best for you will be the one that gives you what you want apart from tracking distance... they all do that.

Great, thanks. I’ll check them out 😊

I have Mapmyrun/walk/ride for cycling, the run one does not tell me how many steps I do, however, the walk one does, so if I run a 5k, I will set the Mapmywalk although I will be running, that way it will tell me how many steps I have taken.

Great, thanks. Think I’ll give that one a try first 👍🏻

It's worth finding out what your friends use so you can each follow each other which helps with motivation. I love Strava but as I've only used Strava I don't have anything to compare it to.
