Week 4 Run 1

So I have been using the couch to 5K app to help me build up my stamina. Last week I completed week 3 but through all 3 runs I struggled a bit. I just wondered if people would recommend I redo week 3 again or go for week 4? Thanks!

If you managed to finish each run you could just move in to wk4 , it's totally up to you if you want to repeat 😊

Good for you, well done for going for it. Isn’t C25K fantastic? Plus great forum here with loads of positive attitudes and support 👏👍

I’d give week4 run 1 a go. It’ll probably work out ok. Happy running.

If you’ve completed a run you’re ready to move on, but if you need to repeat do. The other thing you can do is slow down! I’m a slow runner and follow the Japanese slow jogging technique & love it! Saw this in w6 and wish I’d found it earlier.

That’s a really useful link thanks DiscoRunner. I’ll try that out. Tomorrow is week 9 run 2......this time not following on from wine and crisps so hopefully better than week 9 run 1 on Monday 😁. How’s your running going this week? Sending 👍 for good runs!

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and includes advice on pacing and I would recommend the link to the post about mental approach.

Enjoy your journey.
