Hi, I have not posted for about a year, life has been hectic and my running has ceased to exist in last 6 months. I never got to 10K but was happy regularly doing 5K, and I want to get back to that.
Had some sad news this weekend, and it's made me realise I need to get back in control and get healthy as at 56 years old, overweight and unfit I am in danger of getting ill, especially working on stressful job.
So today I am going out running again, just a small route to start which will probably be a run wall situation, but am determined to build back up again.
Wish this tortoise luck.....😁

Welcome back...we are all still here... slow and steady as ever
Maybe try some parts of C25K again to get you back into things. Many of us do, or have done this...me included.
You know the ropes, you know what s coming, so there is no pressure... and when you feel the time is right, you can move on to organise your running in your own way.
You know the benefits of this already Take your time, keep posting and simply enjoy!
Oh massive support and encouragement to you Radleychick!! 🤗 Well done for deciding to get back out there and prioritising yourself. Im on a bit of a comeback too and can understand how the combination of sad news and giving to others can affect you. This so often leads to putting what you really need on the back burner. But the truth is, that doing this for yourself will give you the energy and stability to be the best you can be, despite the challenges. Wishing you lots of joy to come. Enjoy and keep us posted. ❤️
