Have completed R3 of W1 and feel great apart from really painful knees. Have sent off for some knee supports and will take Sunday and Monday as rest days in the hope that Tuesday's run will be less painful.

Am loving the app and the forum and am feeling super-motivated.

It can help to run on grass or hardcore rather than tarmac or paving - reduces the impact. Hope your knee supports work well x

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and includes advice on pacing, minimising impact, stretching and strengthening exercises which will all be helpful.

Enjoy your journey.
