Week 1, Run 1 COMPLETE and I loved it (even in the rain!!!!)

Not gonna lie, I ran in my teens, 20’s and 30’s and was comfortable running 10k but things happened and I lost my running mojo. Now in my 40’s, when deciding that I wanted to improve my wellbeing I knew that if I wanted to reignite my love of running I needed to go back to basics and do a sensible programme. C25K just felt right

Well done on your first run: in many ways it’s the hardest. Welcome to the forum, too! Lots of lovely supportive folk here. Enjoy the programme 👍

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Don't try to recreate past running glories and do stick to the plan.

The passion will soon return.

Thank you. I chose the plan as I’m looking for a structured plan. No intention of rushing or cutting corners. Thank you for the welcome and the link.

Having previously been a runner in your 20's and 30's I think you should find C25K relatively easy to get through, keep rigidly to the runs and weeks, don't try any shortcuts or run on consecutive days, drink plenty of water by staying hydrated and run slowly, especially the longer runs later in the course.
