I fell off the couch this morning..

I fell off the couch this morning and did do something called running! W1 R1, complete! It was cold, it was dark... but those 30 mins of pure torture actually feel really good! So, for any doubters... the first step is literally getting out the door!! That was the biggest effort to me! BTW, I am Alan in SW Scotland. Hello to you all!!

Hi Alan, if your experience is anything like mine, then the worst is now behind you. Believe it or not, the later, longer runs get easier as you go along. Love your positive attitude!

Hello and welcome! Thats the difficult one done, getting started.

Slow and steady will get you through the programme. Take your rest days after each run, and enjoy!

Well done Alan. My wife has been meaning to start this program for ages. She finally went for it yesterday and hasn’t stopped talking about it since!

You’re right, the hardest part is getting off the couch. You’ll soon be posting about your latest achievements and how good you feel about yourself.

Keep up the good work 😁

Yep, getting out the door is the hard bit. I often put my gear on and then procrastinate for a bit(can be hours) before going out. But what always helps is the thought that I always start with a walk, and I can do that bit and I know it to be easy, the rest well, if i'm out I may as well run a bit so I keep warm and get home quicker :)

Morning Alan and well done, you’ve done the hard bit. Now take it nice and slow....if you get breathless at any point, you’re going too quick so slow down and enjoy the experience 🏃🏃
