I finally done it! Graduated this evening. It took me longer than 9 weeks but i'm glad I kept at it and repeated the runs I struggled with. Keep at it guys, you're all doing great! X

Well done! What was your most difficult week / run and how did you stay on track?

ToriRose profile image
ToriRoseGraduate in reply toEvol

The most difficult week for me was week 6. I got obsessed with completing the 3 runs each week first time round and I couldn't do it. A friend said to me even a difficult run that you don't complete improves you as a runner and they were right! So every run I 'failed' I repeated. And rather than thinking I need to complete this in 9 weeks my attitude was, it will take as long as it takes but i'll make bloody sure i conquer every run before moving onto the next. Perseverance and enjoy the journey, that's what worked for me!

Keep at it, you'll be fab x

Thanks that's really helpful. I'm scared about the 20mins in week 5 - my next run. I will bear this in mind and stay positive. Thanks

And slow down! Everyone goes too fast. Good luck 😊

This run terrified me- I had nightmares about it. It can be done and I found it helpful as they gave updates every 5 minutes, so I just worked to that frame. Good luck - trust in the programme x

Well done, ToriRose. What an achievement. As you say, it doesn't matter whether it is completed in 9 weeks. Completing it is what counts. And continuing. Enjoy all future runs.

Hi, that's great news for you. Gives me a bit of hope. 2 wks ago I send sabotaged on wk 3 run 2 as run 1 I found so hard cardio wise I just kept avoiding it until I had to go to work in the end so no time then fell off the wagon as to say then. I want to start again. I am supposed to be doing the 5k rough runner on July 21st (ish) was wondering how you repeated it etc and how long it did take you. Many thanks in advance.
