Well everyone. You were right about that one!! There are toxic gremlins hiding in this run. They were out to get me today, but I was ready for them and I broke them and 4K as well (just) for the very first time too. ๐Ÿ˜…

Well done! Itโ€™s a nasty one that. Enjoy the glow of success.

Thank you! I had read the posts and warnings about this one. It was a hard push through and Iโ€™m glad itโ€™s out of the way!

Well done you. I found that one hard too. But amazing to break 4K. You are ahead of me on that one! Still dipping under the 4K. Enjoy feeling smug all day today ๐Ÿ˜€

Phew, it was hard-going. Knew it was going to be after reading the posts and warnings about it. Can see how it could catch folk out, but I went slow and think thatโ€™s what saved me. Have since walked the dog and been to Pilates. Must be mad! ๐Ÿ˜œ

Fitness freak now! Iโ€™m a bit apprehensive about tomorrowโ€™s run I have to say.

in reply to Fabat50

Go slow and then slower. This one really is about pacing yourself and you will be fine ๐Ÿ˜‰

4K!!! Brilliant! Well done. Nearly at the home stretch. 1 more interval run ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

in reply to Ab23s

Oh yes, hadnโ€™t realised that ๐Ÿ˜ฌ!

Well done! I was pre-warned so I expected it but I did NOT like going back to intervals. But.... you did it! :)

I found it really hard this morning. I started to realise what the phrase 'toxic ten' was all about!!

Thank you! How are you getting on?

I have done week 5 run 2 but not sure I can cope with the next run, 20mins continuously after just 8 (and that was hard going) feels like a big jump. How did you cope with it?

Hi Evol. It felt like a huge jump for me too, but you can totally do it as you e built up the stamina. This run is about training your mind to get used to the longer wrong (your body can do it after all). Youโ€™ve got this!

Thanks, I will give it a go and repeat W5R2 if I don't manage it.

in reply to Evol

It helps to think of it this way - W5R2 is two 8 minute runs, totalling 16 minutes with a 5 minute fast walk in between. W5R3's run is only 4 minutes longer without a run in the middle and it feels fine. Mind over matter. You'll be fine ๐Ÿ˜Š

But I sooo like the walk!

Well done ! Reaching 4K on Week 6 is an achievement in itself...gremlins regularly pop up and say hi, they then disappear just as quickly !
