Well I don't understand how achy I feel and how my legs felt really heavy doing this run (first time ever during whole of app I might add) afterall I did the 20 minute run without stopping on W5R3 and didn't ache at all πŸ˜• is this normal ?

Could be.. you may have a bug... be overtired, anything really?

Did you start slow and keep it slow?

The runs are getting longer now, and it is important that you do maybe ,up your rest day exercise too :) Stamina and strength are needed for the longer runs, the legs cannot do it on their own :)

Relax into the runs, land lightly, breathe gently and hopefully find, what I call ,our happy pace)

Thanks....yes it did cross my mind for a second that maybe I have a bug as I've been around my two grandsons who have both been poorly.....will keep an eye on it and try and nip it in the bud before anything comes of it.... thanks for the info πŸ–’

A lot of people find Week 6 Run 1 harder than they expect to, especially after the apparently bigger challenge of the previous one. So don't worry too much. But look after yourself.

I wondered if you were coming down with something - you often feel it first when you try to push yourself, and I suppose this is the season when bugs start doing the rounds (I do hope not though!).

Perhaps it's just one of those off days we all have every now and then for unclear reasons.

Oh no! If you're unwell though, I think taking a break to recover is always the right thing. Hope you get better soon. Plenty of hot liquids and rest!

Yeah, I think it totally normal. I was fine though all the weeks then suddenly week 9 run 1 I had the worst run of all. It came out of nowhere, a stitch ( which I've never had before or again), sore left knee and tight right leg. I got round but it took some getting over. Keep it up, good days, bad days they all count:)!!!

You might need longer between runs as they get more demanding.

Hydration is my first reaction though. Drink frequently throughout the day. NHS recommend 1.2 litres but you need considerably more if exercising.

That run is your longest overall time to date.

Well done on finishing even when it felt tough! If it's any comfort, I felt the same when I did that run on Friday, then battled with a big over the weekend and took an extra rest day. That really helped for I had much more stamina and sttength on this morning's R2. So be kind to yourself 😊
