Week 7! I mean really is this actually right.

Week 7 run 2 completed and I’ve found that, as well as listening to music I have debates with things on my mind whilst running which, before you know it the ding ding of the half way bell goes and your talking out loud to yourself. I’m finding though a niggling reluctance to get up and get out creeping in. It’s not much at all but could grow into an “ oh I’ll give it a miss for today” if not careful. One more to go though in week 7!band then week eight. What happens at the end of week 9?

Guard against those gremlins by getting dressed in your running gear - then at least you’re ready and can just get out the door! Keep it nice and slow too - if you can get a sense of having ‘more in the tank’ that seems to be a motivator. And once you graduate and then consolidate I’ve found running to podcasts and audio books a great way to get lost in something interesting & gain knowledge while plodding along, seem to forget about the running (also taking moments to really enjoy it) and then in my slow way I can keep going for quite awhile.
