W7R1: first five minutes were tough, second five minutes even tougher, next five better and the last ten minutes were amazing!
Treated myself to new shoes and did the whole gait analysis at the store so when I did get to the last ten minutes I felt comfortable in my shoes and I think my form (if that’s what you call it) is improving slightly too.
First time out in the rain too, loved it! Never thought I’d feel this way about running but maybe just maybe I have found another passion. Time will tell!

Congratulations Anna on completing run 1 of week 7, you seem to have had the toxic 10 as most of the second part of the run was very enjoyable. 😊 It would also help that you had a gait analysis and running in your new shoes, onwards and upwards to run 3 of week 7 at the weekend. 😊 🏃
C25K is a great programme, but you’re absolutely right, it’s not easy. Even now almost a year into running I get days where it’s tough out there... I expect Mo Farah to have a day like that this weekend too... but there’s also the days where it’s almost effortless, and these are the days when I smile towards the end of the run as they prove just how much my hard work has paid off.
I’m awake and in a wonderful mood... but as I want to do parkrun tomorrow this may change... no running today 😕
