That is awesome, you have done the hardest part which is starting. You can do this 🙌🏻
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Enjoy your journey.
Well done for starting! And how about trying this Japanese slow jogging technique m.youtube.com/watch?v=9L2b2... It’s low impact so better for us older, heavier types (me too!) and is designed to prevent injury. The benefits to your mental wellbeing from running could be life changing, so give this a whirl and see if it helps? It means your brisk walk is faster than your run! I still run this way and love it. Have a rest day, drink plenty of water, and see if a slow style suits you.
I've found the mental benefits one of the best things. The feeling after you've completed the the runs is amazing. Also it's designed just to push you enough so you can see your progress which gives me enormous satisfaction. Just stick with it - you can do it!

Well done on getting started, you can do it
Well done for doing this! I completed week 1 on Sunday. Found it a bit hard, but realised easier to jog real slow. Hope you make it to your second run. Cheers ☺
Welcome. So good you have made a start. 🎉 Lots of fellowship and support on here, so keep posting.
I second DiscoRunner’s support of the Japanese slow running technique. I am not overweight but am many years older than you, and it’s kept me going really well. Good luck and happy running.
I’m feeling much better after a shower and an iced lolly. Thanks for all the helpful comments and general niceness😊
aww well done -youve started it and succeed in first goal, one step towards getting fitter. I am not fit but just staggered my way to run 3 week 2, hard going but starting to feel really pleased with myself for sticking with it. Rest tmoro then try run 2 slowly slowly you can do it
48. Was 15 stone at new year. Ditto the bad knees and depression. Now just under 14 stone, knees getting stronger. Depression, well, you'll know yourself how that goes.
It's definitely helping me physically, and possibly mentally (jury is still out) but if it's not your thing, then it isn't and at least you tried it to find out.
