Hi just did my first couch to 5k run and I have to admit it was really hard. I did it on the spot in my house as I don't have the confidence to go out yet.

Welcome to the forum and C25K Chloelm98, many say that run 1 is the hardest, you should find the other runs a little bit easier provided you run them slowly, either outside or on a treadmill at home or at a gym, don't be afraid to run them outside, onwards and upwards to run 2 of week 1. 😊 🏃

Well done 😀 it took me ages to work up to going outside but I’m so glad I did it in January and today completed week 8 run 1. I repeated the early weeks to build my confidence and even this morning was nervous about going out but so glad I did. I go out early morning and don’t see many people. Well done for your first run and come outside! It’s fun 😊

Well done you. I felt the same after my first run. After 6 weeks I have just done 25 minutes non stop which is something I never thought I could do. Just follow the programme and you will be fine.

Welcome and great job getting started. Get out there and get being seen over with as soon as you can, there’s nothing to fear! Enjoy your journey.

I’m doing my first run tonight and I’m scared of being seen. Luckily I’ve got a big gob if anyone says anything. Then I’ll shuffle home and cry but I’m determined to go out and do it or I’m scared I never will. Well done for getting it done!

Nobody will say anything other than hallo - a smile and a greeting in return will make you feel good! Enjoy!

Hopefully! There’s lots of school kids out atm we’ve had issues with them climbing on our car 😤

Hi Chloelm! Welcome to the forum! Don’t be worried about running outside - you’ll become invisible to most and the rest will greet you with a hallo as you go past! Come outside and enjoy your running!

Well done completing your first run, wherever it’s done each run is a step further to being fitter. I haven’t run outside yet as feel too unfit so using a treadmill until confidence builds and less fearful of looking stupid . Keep the faith, we can do this
