In hindsight, maybe it was silly to do a route with hills towards the end on the first 28 minute run. However I hadn't planned on it being so HOT!
I carried on though, and when the heat and hills became too much I just turned back on myself to go back down the hill a bit, staying in a shady stretch to recover for the last minute or so.
I wanted to walk so many times on this run, and I'm so glad I pushed on to the end!

Well done with the heat and hills. I’m on week 7 run 1 tomorrow and I will be out at 5 30 am ! I’m an early riser as have a dog and animals here, best get it done before it’s too warm .
Congratulations on completing your run today, yes the heat has caught out a few runners this Easter weekend, even where I am in Central Scotland we are having the third day in a row of +21C/70F temperatures. Onwards and upwards to run 2 of week 8.
Wow, that's warm! I always go quite early or late in the day, especially as we're creeping towards summer. It was 8am this morning, I'm going to have to bring it forward half an hour I think. I suppose we shouldn't complain, at least the wind and rain aren't deterring us from going out now 😉
Yes it's better to get your run early, when I left for my walk this morning at 9 o'clock (not running today as I was yesterday and will be tomorrow ) the temperature at my locally recognised official Met Office amateur weather station was 10.3C/50F.now it's 21C/70F and still rising, so get out running early to avoid the heat. 🔥😊
