This is the first week for me. Has anyone got any advice or suggestions on what really worked for them, and any no no's. I really need this so any help gratefully received.

Don’t over think things. The programme will build you up gradually and you will be able to complete the runs. After the first session I was convinced I would never be able to run more than a minute, after 6 weeks I have just run for 25 minutes and feeling really chuffed. Keep at it and enjoy it. Good luck. 😀

Welcome to a life changing programme 😊

After reading IannodaTruffe’s excellent starting post - I can just reiterate the point that you can do this running slowly! First breakthrough for me was learning that my brisk walk could be faster than my run. Then I saw the Japanese slow jogging technique film on youtube & I still run this way. C25K is really about learning to run for 30 minutes - so pace and distance (the elusive 5k for us slow runners!) can be worked on later. Focus on the durations and as they increase you can slow down!

This is an incredible journey and can be really transformative. If you have any questions this is a kind and supportive forum and someone will likely have an answer. Oh and stay well hydrated on your rest days as well as run days. And enjoy!!

Trust in the program, it will get you there. As someone says above don’t overthink the runs, just get out there and do your best. Slow and steady is good, if you’re running out of steam slow it down even more, it doesn’t matter how slow you are just keep moving. Hydration is really important at all times but make sure you drink plenty of water the day before your runs. Enjoy your adventures, you got this 👍🏻

You just need to remember to go slow and slower again if necessary and remember to drink plenty water 7 days a week and even more when it's warm good luck 😊
