so enjoying this app and the challenge of running. i do play football and like to cycle but ive never been a runner strictly speaking. My 16 year old daughter was the one who introduced me to this app and its given me such a lift. i went out last night with the moon out and the temp perfect at 10pm and was so happy to get out there. yes 5 mins is not easy but this app if done properly and followed in the correct manner does work. i never enjoyed running until now but having JO Whiley cheering me on while i listen to may fav soundtracks does really motivate me. so happy to know that i can make running a pleasurable activity :)

That’s brilliant!!! I’m about to do my first run of week 4 and have peeled to see what’s expected. 5mins! Eeek!

5 Minutes? Look back to week 1. On day 1 did you walk just a few moments before Laura said “walk?” Were the last couple of two minute runs a trial in week 2? You have been doing three minute runs for a week!

The progression of this programme works! You are ready to smash five minutes!

Go out and slowly run for five minutes. Slowly! Think about your posture as you do it. See Youtube Japanese Slow Running, for a posture and speed guide. It is Five minutes, not a long distance that is important. Build up your endurance. Relax as you run and move beautifully.

Enjoy yourself. You runner!

Meant I was doing 5 min interval "runs" in week 4 not that I only ran for 5 mins! Thanks for pointing out my typo error 😀

I believed that I was referring to five minutes, then walk, then five more etc. Not just one 5 minute session.

I am currently peeking at tomorrow’s 20 minutes W5r3.

I walked early in W1,

never dreamt I could do the W2 runs.

Had a job believing I could do 5 minutes.

Now, thanks to Laura, and all the supporters on here,

We can both go out there and meet tomorrow’s targets! Can’t we?

Glad to hear you are enjoying it Molint. I never considered myself a runner but feel so proud to have got through week6. I think it is a bit addictive.
