I was woke by a tannoy announcement of CCTV something or other at 0430 this morning. I have no idea where is was but I was awake!! After 5 minutes of only thinking about my next run it was up and ready with a banana and some water.
The playlist I use is on shuffle and the first song was Completely Madness, quite apt for the time of run!!
I was dreading it but actually found the first 8 minutes, I'll say it, easy. No crap and not as out of breath as previous runs but I took all your advice and paced myself very slowly to start.
The 5 minute was seemed to last forever and I was wanting it to end so I could run again.
The last run was slower which I guess is understandable. I had a different app running in parallel and it was quite a bit slower but again its not the speed but the duration that counts.
I lasted although I would normally speed up for the last minute but this time there was much left in the tank.
BUT I completed the run and I'm chuffed with myself.
Beer festival later today, if I'm still awake to go.
