Just completed Wk 7, but for the last week I have had a slightly tight calf and sore shin. Two years ago I dropped out in Wk 2 with shin splints, but I was 50lbs heavier. I am too close to completion to drop out now, and shin aside I am thoroughly enjoying it. Would one if those compression bandage type things on the lower leg help?

Stretching straight after every run and using a foam roller and doing all you can to minimise impact, as mentioned in the guide to the plan, will all help as might this article. runnersworld.com/shin-splints/
