Hi everyone! I’m one run into week 2 and mostly enjoying the first time I have ever done any running! (Although it’s fair to say it’s a slow jog at the moment).
The thing I am having difficulty with is sore feet. Particularly the outside and top of my left foot.
I have been very careful not to overpush any part of my body, so this is quite disappointing. I have had a look on the internet (I know. Bad idea!) and some would suggest tendonitis and the advice is not to push through that in case of causing further injury. But if I stop now to try to ‘heal’, I’ll never get started again and I really don’t want to lose my flow.
My shoes are comfortable and not too tight.
If it helps to know, I am 49 and have not done any physical activity (apart from walking most days) for many many years...
Any advice or tips please?

I should be heading out for my next run now, but I seriously don’t know whether to run through the pain, or rest for a few days and start again next week.
I don’t want to not run. I don’t want to interrupt my flow. But I don’t want to cause a bigger injury. I really don’t know what is best.
