W4/R1 Oh. My. Days!

That was hard, I was nearly crying on that first 5 minutes. That's the biggest jump so far. I have so much respect for anyone doing this, I was thinking of you all on this forum when I was struggling. Anyway, I made it, and I'm very happy with my progress.

When it comes to running, you only get out what you put into it. But I hope my second run is easier.😓👊💪🤞 😁

Well done, keep plugging away at it! I struggled a bit around the mid way point but it’s actually gotten easier as the weeks have gone on. I found that fitting in some body weight exercises on the inbeteeen days like planks and pushups have helped get my overall fitness to where it needs to be too

I think i'm struggling because I'm dieting. My lungs are OK, there's just nothing in my legs, and I've drastically reduced carbs... Which doesn't help when you're running.

I’m dieting too, I have a small coffee and a banana or half a banana about 30mins before running then a light breakfast after

Sounds good. I don't usually eat before a run, but after today I'm definitely getting on the bananas. 🍌

If it is tough, slow down.

Pushing hard is not going to develop your body significantly faster and certainly won't if it causes injury.

Learn to pace yourself to get through each session.

Fuelling is important, but hydration possibly more so.

We are cheering you on.

Well done. You’ve spurred me on as I’m apprehensive about starting week 4.

I’ll be thinking of you as I head out for w4r1 this afternoon. x

Good luck. You've got this. 👊💪

Slow down ! And if it still hurts, slow down again ! This is, in every sense, not a sprint but a (potential) marathon. You’ll get there x
