Played it safe!

Today’s the “rest day” for me. I did have a few aches from my first run yesterday.

I did however make my walk with my dogs during the break in the weather. I’m so glad I did, loosened me up and eased the aches.

Stopping is now the issue, once I stop I struggle to get going, dam this body of mine.

These aches will eventually go away it's just your body getting used to running and yes walking your dogs will help on rest days 😊😊

The plan is to walk them on the days I run also so double up I guess but it’s mainly to keep me motivated and moving.

Yes walking is fine on rest days. It's not really a rest day at all, just a rest from high impact exercise like running. Walking is low impact as you always have at least one foot on the ground.
