I have had about 10 days off with a wheezy something, feeling nervous about running again. Hopefully tomorrow if the weather is dry I'll manage a short run. Going to be busy week so taking it steady. Seem to have lost motivation very quickly. 😟
Week 7 again: I have had about 10 days off with... - Couch to 5K
Week 7 again
Hey Tippyrunn chin up. you can walk on water! that beats the pants off most of us
when you are not feeling well its understandable to lose motivation but think about why you stared this program in the first place. Are the reasons still valid?
it may well be that with your asthma your journey will take a little longer as your body gets used to the extra demands, but that's no bad thing. As long as your Dr thinks running is good for then it doesn't matter a jot if you have to revert back to intervals on some or all your runs. you are out there doing it.
you will get there in the end, i have every faith in you <3
Thanks for your encouragement. Think you are right. I still want to get out there and enjoy it when I do. My asthma took a dive in week 3 when I stepped up the pace and time, and is exactly the same again now week7. As you say it's probably just the extra demands on the lungs. GP says no reason not to run, blood pressure and anxiety improving so that's a bonus. I just get cross with myself. Managing 30 mins brisk walk a day, so that's something. This forum is good for encouragement. 👍👍
