Which tracker best for running,on I phone 7

I’m looking for the best tracker between Fitbit ionic and Apple series 4 watch. Anyone tell me which is best for running, please?

Website DCRainmaker is the best source of independent advice and reviews of running watches. FitBit Ionic and Apple Watch are very different devices. FitBit is an adequate fitness tracker with limited smart watch features. Apple Watch 4 excels at everything, but you’ll be charging it every night and it is the most expensive.

Many of us on this forum have Garmin ForeRunner watches. I have FR235 and it excels as a running watch & activity tracker. I run 3 times a week & hit my step target every day. It needs a 90 minute charge every week. Bomb-proof + it gives me notifications from my iPhone. That is smart enough for me.
