I've not run for 3 weeks due to illness and work commitments, I was up to week 8. Should I just carry on from where I left off ? Any advice would be most welcome

Head out gently.. listen to your body and see what it tells you. If you feel it is okay...then carry on slow and steady:) If not.. then use it as a return run and go back a couple of runs:)
