So Running is not just about the technique, breathing, running attire etc etc as I found out today it is also about monitoring the weather to ensure that you don’t get too wet - given I have yet to purchase waterproof gear.
The good news is I timed it perfectly - thank you Accuweather.
Equally good news I covered 5.26k including warm up/down, so gradually creeping up towards a 5k run in 30mins.
That said I’m not trying to achieve that, my goal has always been to run the thirty minutes with ease.
It was a good run and I feel like I’m definitely forming the habit now and look forward to run days - long may it continue.
Happy running all.

That is so funny, I do the same. In fact I have a "Running" folder on my phone with all my running-related apps, including the BBC Weather app. I look at it daily to work out when is the best time to run. I work from home and can run at any time of the day. On Friday last week I ran at 7am as the weather was due to be warm (remember that??) and I had a busy day.
The joys of working from home - It’s a godsend being able to do so - the thought of going back to a normal office type role freaks me out. Think I like the “running folder” idea, may have to steal that.
It contains: MyFitnessPal, Garmin connect, LoLo Stretching, HealthUnlocked, BBC Weather, Strava, the Couch to 5K app (which I never used, preferring the podcasts).
