My second ever run and I've pulled my calf muscle and now I can't even walk!!!
It's my own fault for getting too cold before starting my run. I had a meeting in town and thought I'll just wear my running gear and go straight after. By the time I got to the park I was freezing. I did warm up but clearly not enough. Went to the pharmacy and they said to give it a week then go back to walking exercises but no running for 6 weeks at least! So frustrated to have slipped up so early in the program. The bright side is I made this mistake early so I can learn from it and be more prepared in a couple of months time when I try again. Also losing a bit more weight will probably help to avoid future injuries too.
I'll stay signed up and show support to everybody but I'm gonna have to be a spectator for a while ☹️
