Just checking in with you all. Why are you doing this and how do you keep yourself motivated?

I’ll start

Why?

Diabetes T2.

Motivator?

Putting my kit ready outside my bedroom door the night before. It calls to me in the morning. 😂

Hi. Nice idea. Well done on your C25K adventure.

Why? I’m not as healthy or active as I used to be, I’ve gone up a clothes size and I done feel ‘nice’ about me.

Motivator? It’s my one little investment (1hr 30 mins per week) for me. All of the stories of success in this forum.

I am only on week 3 and am doing it because I'm fed up with being and feeling lethargic and unfit! My mum (86) is currently in hospital after breaking her hip and while visiting her I got a wake up call - all the ladies in there were elderly and all had fallen...I decided there and then that I would get fit!

So that's really my reason And motivation. Oh - and this forum as I love all the encouragement. X

Interesting posts which made me think. I’m a very recent graduate. Why - knowing it would be good for my post menopausal bones, it’s a bit solitary (so it’s down to you alone) and you can’t find any excuses as it’s only max 45 mins 3 x a week. Motivator - everyone thinking I wouldn’t stick with it (i’ll show them😀) losing weight (1 stone and now in the normal BMI range🎉). Things I didn’t expect but which have been great, this forum and the head space and sense of achievement running gives you - Brucie bonuses all round👍.

Why? To lose some weight if possible but more so to boost fitness including bone strength.

Motivator: being out in nature - all weathers and that Runner’s high at the end! 👍🏻😊🏃🏽‍♀️
